MEET THE ARTIST/DESIGNER

I’m Lucyna “Lucy” Mleczko, the owner and designer of Harley Blue Design. I’m a designer and an artist with a passion for invitations and typography.

I graduated Panstwowe Liceum Sztuk Plastycznych (Art School) in my home country Poland with a degree in Renovation of Architectural Details. I have called New York City my home for over 30 years, where I fell in love with graphic design and invitations.

For over 20 years I co-owned Lemon Tree Stationery, one of the country’s most prestigious wedding and Bar/Bat Mitzvah invitation manufacturers. I designed and supervised the production of all the invitation suites, as well as the branding and marketing materials for our company and corporate clients. It is where I learned all the secrets of printing including typesetting, assembling, bow making etc. My extensive knowledge of the entire printing process from beginning to end ensures stress-free experience for your invitation order, making absolutely sure you get exactly what you desire!

Harley Blue Design studio is located in beautiful Jamaica Estates, Queens, New York. I meet with clients by appointment only, in person or by phone.

On a personal note, I live with my husband Peter and our dog Harley, a long-haired German Shepherd. Blue is my favorite color. I am sure you can now see how two of my favorite things came together to create my business name.

I love all aspects about typography, design, and arts and crafts. Some of my hobbies include making window treatments and reupholstering antique furniture. I love to cook, bake and entertain my family and friends. In my spare time, my other passion is painting. Currently my favorite medium is watercolors, and you can see some of my work under the “Fine Art” tab on this website. Most of my paintings are for sale. I hope you enjoy viewing my creations.
